DIY Be- You- tiful frame.

Hello beauties!
Its been a while since I did a DIY post but I was so lazy in the past few days that I did not want to try anything but then one day during Ramazan I saw a DIY wall frame made with glitter somewhere on pinterest and I was like I need to try this as soon as possible.

I made a few amendments in the original design as I didn't have all the items needed but I liked how the DIY turned out at the end so here I am sharing my tutorial with you.

Things used:

An empty photo frame

Blank white sheet cut according to the size of frame.

Blank sheet (any color of your choice, I used turquoise to match the theme of my room).

UHU all purpose adhesive (or any glue)

Glitter (any color)

Pen with golden ink.

A pair of Scissors to cut the paper.

Pencil

Scale

Method:
I wrote the words Be- You- tiful on a white sheet in the way I wanted them on my frame.

Then I traced the words on the turquoise paper sheet and wrote Be and TIFUL with the gloden pen.

Then I wrote the word YOU with the UHU tube and sprinkled the glitter over it and then let it dry

After its completely dry I put the sheet in the frame and its done.

I hope you like this DIY its super fun and easy to make.

That's it for today I'll be back soon till then take care..

Trends to try this eid

Hello beauties!
I am back and today I am going to do talk about some fashion trends. Eid is near and we all know selecting a perfect outfit for eid is a really hectic and difficult task, we go through dozens of websites and shops to look for latest trends and colors to find one perfect outfit but now you don't need to do this because I have done this for you and now I am going to share with you a few trends that you can try for your eid outfit.
Personally for eid I prefer a traditional outfit but nothing too fancy so that I can wear it casually after eid that’s why I prefer lighter fabrics such as lawn with more detailing in cuts and lesser embroidery as they are easy to carry and are summer appropriate and that's why I am sharing such trends only, nothing too fancy. So let's get started:
Cut out sleeves:
A part is cut from the upper part of the sleeve. It can be in any shape and whatever size you want. You can get some ideas from here:

Puffy and voluminous sleeves are very much in trend not only in Pakistan but internationally as well. These are a few types of voluminous sleeves you can try.

Bell sleeves: These are the sleeves made in the shape of a bell i.e. the upper half is fitted with a flared bottom half. This trend is t not very popular in Pakistan yet but some designers have made these bell sleeves in their dresses so this trend is getting popular very soon girls.

Anaya by Kiran Chaudhry

Batwing sleeves:

It’s a long wide sleeve with a deep armhole, tapering towards the waist. These sleeves not only look chic but are also summer appropriate.

Ayesha Farooq Hashwani

Balloon sleeves:
These are the sleeves fitted from top and fuller at the bottom and are gathered into a cuff.

Tulip pants:

From high end to high street tulip pants are all the rage these days. Pearl studded tulip shalwars are very popular and are my favorite.

ayesha somaya
Belted dupattas and shirts:
Just put your dupatta on one shoulder and loosely tie it around your waist with a thin belt it looks super stylish.

Ethnic by outfitters
Belted voluminous shirts are also very common.
Lahori ink
Front open slits: If you want a dress that will make you look flatter or taller go for shirts with front open slits.

That's it for today…
I hope you found this post helpful… I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which of the above trends you like most. bubyee

Freeman Facial Purifying Acai Clay Mask

Hello beauties!

I am back with another post and today it's going to be a face mask review. I have already shared with you that when it comes to face masks I rely on freemans. Over the years I have tried many of their masks and have also reviewd two on my blog which you can check out here and here today I am going to talk about Freeman's Acai clay mask.

Product claim:
A quick fix for dulling skin, powered by an 8-antioxidant blend of Acai, Blueberry, Cranberry, Goji, Mango, Mangosteen, Noni, and Pomegranate to neutralize environmental damage. Super oil-absorbent clays draw impurities from skin and clean out clogged pores. Perfect for all skin types.

Ingredients:
It contains many fruits like Acai Goji berry, cranberry, blueberry mango and pomegranate extracts. All these fruits got my attention and I immediately bought it.

Packaging:
The mask comes in a regular 175 ml purple plastic tube. The color of packaging was another reason I was attracted towards this mask.

Fragrance and appearance:
Its smell remind me of bubblegums. The smell is quite refreshing and pleasant actually and it stays there until the mask is washed off. The color of the mask is mint green/blue.

Use:
As per instructions I use it twice a week. I just apply it all over my face focusing more on my nose and its surrounding areas as that's where my pores are more likely to be clogged. The consistency of the mask is neither thin nor very thick so it spreads easily unlike most clay masks which are very thick and difficult to spread.

My experience:
It takes around 20-25 minutes to completely dry and I just wash it off with normal tap water (you can use warm water if you want).
The first time I used it I was really happy with the result because it really made my skin more alive. In terms of evening out the skin tone it worked just like the chocolate and strawberry mask which is my all time favorite but it is not as moisturizing as the other one so I need to moisturize my face after using this and that is why I think it would not be very good for people with dry skin especially in winters.
For summers, this mask is perfect for me as I usually get two toned and tanned skin in summers and it really helps in reducing the tan and evening out the skin tone.
As for its claim for drawing out impurities and cleaning the pores, I think it lives up to its claim as whenever I use it I feel my skin extra clean and soft. Overall I am happy with this product and would recommend this to everyone who do not have very dry skin.

Price and availability:
It is easily available in all supermarkets and pharmacies and online. The price ranges between Rs.350-400/-

That's it for today I hope you found this post useful…
I'll be back soon till then take care…

Makeup kit for beginners- Part III

Hello beauties!

I am back with the third post in my beginners' makeup kit series and today I am going to talk about the last two products in my list which you can find here and these two products are mascara and eyeliner.
So lets start with the mascara:

Mascara:
Mascara is that one game changing product that can really change your look.  Your choice of mascara would depend on your preference for length and volume. There are different types of mascaras with differences in formulas and brushes. Before moving on to the list of mascaras I want to share a few points about mascara brushes with you which may help you in choosing a mascara.

  • If you have short lashes choose a mascara with a short wand and thick bristles as it will get close to your eyes and will easily grab each and every little lash.
  • If you already have thick lashes and now want some length and definition go for a mascara with a comb like brush as the more space there is between bristles, the better it will be at separating and defining lashes.
  • If you want volume in your lashes then go for a mascara with densely packed bristles.
  • Curved brushes are better at curling the lashes than straight brushes.
Now, here's a list of some good and affordable mascaras:
  • Maybelline colossal volume express mascara.
  • Essence get big lashes volume boost mascara
  • Maybelline lash sensational mascara
  • Maybelline great lash mascara
  • L'oreal Miss Manga Lash Lengthening Mascara
Eyeliners:

Gel eyeliner:
  • Maybelline eye studio lasting drama gel liner
  • Essence Gel eye pencil water proof.
  • Catrice eye liner gel
Liquid eyeliners:
Pencil eyeliners:

I have used most of the products mentioned above and I have read good reviews about those which I haven't used but still I recommend that you do your research before buying any of these products.
That's it for today I hope you found this post helpful…
I”ll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which are your favorite mascaras and eyeliners.

Makeup kit for beginners- Part-II

Hello beauties!
I am back with the second post in my beginners’ makeup kit series and today I am going to talk about the face makeup products i.e. Foundation and the setting powders.
If you have not read the first post you can check it out here. Now lets get started with the foundation.
Foundation:
We use foundation to even out the complexion and to hide any minor imperfections on our skin. There are dozens of types of foundations available so choosing a perfect foundation is a difficult task but I hope these few points will help you in choosing your perfect foundation.
Before buying a foundation these points must be considered:

The coverage you need:

The foundations come with light, medium and heavy coverage.
How much coverage you want would depend on the condition of your skin and on time and occasion where you want to wear the foundation. If you have any blemishes for e.g. acne scars that need to be covered you can go for heavy coverage foundation otherwise choose a light to medium coverage foundation.
Also, wearing a full coverage foundation every day during the daytime is not a good idea as they usually make your makeup look cakey so for everyday use its better to go for a light to medium coverage foundation.
If you are young or have naturally clear skin with no uneven skin tones I would suggest that you start with a BB bream or a tinted moisturizer. Usually BB creams have limited shades and they adjust to the skin tone when applied so it’s easier to choose the shade of BB cream as compared to a foundation
Your skin type:

Your skin type would play an important role in how a foundation looks on your face. If you have oily skin it’s better to use a water based or oil free foundation. Similarly for dry skin go for an oil based foundation but in any case don’t forget to moisturize your face before applying foundation.
Foundations come in powder, liquid, stick as well as in mousse forms. Usually powder foundations work best for oily skin and stick and liquid foundations work for dry to normal and combination skin but that is not necessary it solely depends on the formula of foundation. I prefer liquid or mousse foundations as they are easier to apply and blend.
These are some good budget foundation options:

For light to medium coverage:

For heavy coverage:
  • Kryolan TV paint stick
  • Luscious camera stick full coverage foundation

BB creams:

  • Maybelline 8 in 1 dream fresh BB cream
  • Garnier BB cream miracle skin
  • Oriflame skin dream BB cream

Before buying a foundation consider your skin tone as well as its undertones. I suggest not to order a foundation online if you are buying it for the first time, instead go to the store so you can try the product on your actual skin. Also, the assistant there would help you with finding your right shade.
So that’s all about foundations now let’s move on to the setting powder.

Setting Powder:
If you are using a powder foundation you don’t need to set it with powder but for other types of foundations (and for concealer) setting powder is a must.
You can use loose powder when you do makeup at home but always carry a compact powder in your bag for touch ups during the day.
Again, choose the right shade as per your skin tone and never go overboard with powder because dewy makeup looks more natural as compared to completely matte makeup.
Some suggestions for setting powder:

I have used most of the products mentioned above and I have read good reviews about those which I haven't used but still I recommend that you do your research before buying any of these products.
That's it for today I hope you found this post helpful…
I”ll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which are your favorite foundation and setting powder.

Makeup Kits for Girls- Beginners

Hello beauties!

Welcome to the blog once again. It's been a long time since I posted anything here and it was because I was busy with my exams but now I am resuming blogging with a post especially requested by one of my friends who is a novice to makeup. She asked me to write about “what makeup products should a girl buy as a beginner”.
I think these are seven makeup essentials that a girl should buy when she's starting out with makeup:

  1. Concealer
  2. Foundation/ BB/ CC cream/ tinted moisturizer.
  3. Blush on
  4. Mascara
  5. Eyeliner
  6. Setting/ Translucent powder.
  7. Lipstick
  8. Eyeshadows
I am going to talk about all these products in detail but in three different posts and today is the first post of the series in which I am going to talk about four products which are easily available in palettes. Since most of the beginners don't want to spend a lot of money on makeup it's a good idea to buy palettes as they give you a variety of shades at affordable price. So here I am sharing a few makeup kits/ palettes which are a good value for money.

So let's get started:

Concealer:
A concealer is used to hide blemishes and dark circles. It can also be used to brighten up the areas of the face which you want to highlight.

Image from MUA's website

These palettes have a variety of shades ranging from dark to light so they can also be used for contouring as well.

Blush-On:
When we apply makeup the natural color of our cheeks hides behind the foundation so we need a blush to get back that natural color. Some good blusher palettes are:

  • Atiqa Odho's blush on Kit.
  • Makeup Revolution's Ultra Blush palettes.
  • e.l.f- Cream blush palette and e.l.f powder blush palette.
  • BH cosmetics- professional blush palette (contains neutral to vibrant shades with shimmery as well as matte finishes).
Eyeshadows:
Personally I am not an eyeshadow person I prefer colored eyeliners over eye shadows but if you prefer eyeshadows I think its better to start with nudes.
These are some eye shadow palettes which are great in quality and are super affordable:
  • Makeup Revolution- I heart obsession palettes (5 different palettes in nudes as well as vibrant shades).
  • Atiqa Odho- Eye shadow kit (25 colors- from nudes to bold and vibrant shades)
  • Lakme makeup kit– Lakme 9 to 5 eye quartet.
  • BH cosmetics- 120 color eyeshadow palettes (6 editions available)
  • Makeup Revolution- Iconic palettes ( all natural and nude shades)

Lipsticks:

It's a bit tricky to apply lipstick from a palette with a brush so I think its better to have at least one regular go to lipstick or lip gloss (preferably nude shade) that you can easily use anywhere. But for other shades these palettes are great.

Image from MUA's website

  • BH Cosmetics- 28 color lipstick palettes available in nudes and ultimates.
  • NYX- Pro lip cream palette available in nudes, pinks, reds and plums.
  • MUA- Pro paintbox lip palette also available in nudes, reds and plums.

I haven't used all of these products but I have read good reviews about them but still I recommend that you do your research before buying any of these things. Especially before you buy makeup online you should read some detailed reviews to see whether the product will suit your skin type and your skin tone.
That's it for today. I hope you find this post helpful.
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which are your favorite makeup palettes.

My favourite cell phone apps…

Hello beauties!

I am back and today I am going to talk about some cell phone apps. I have already shared with you that I am addicted to my cell phone and in my free time I like trying out random apps. I download many apps but I just keep the ones I really like and delete the other.  Today I am going to share with you 3 of my current favorite cell- phone apps. So without any delay let's get started:

Around me:
It's an app that let's you find out places near you. You can search for nearby restaurants, gas stations, hospitals, pharmacies etc.
I downloaded this app when I was in Lahore for a few days and since I don't live there I didn't know much about the city but this app really helped me there. I used to search everything on this app and act like an smart-ass.

Water Drink Reminder:
The second app I am loving these days is Water Drink Reminder. We all know how important water is for our skin and for our overall health but often when we are busy in our routine we forget to drink water that's when this app comes to rescue.
This app automatically calculates the amount of water we need per day on the basis of our weight and then remind us to take water several times a day.  After every intake you'll need to just add the amount of water you have drank so at the end of the day you'll know if you have drank the required amount. You can also see your weekly, monthly and yearly history of water intake in this app. Isn't it amazing?

Evernote:
This app really helps me in organizing my stuff. I use it not only for organising my blogging stuff but also for my studies and my office work.
This app not only let's you write your notes but you can also make audio notes and attach images and pdf files to your notes which is just great. I am not utilising it fully yet, it has many other features which I have never used but I'll try to learn using them soon.

Ok that's it for todayI'll…
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which are your favourite apps…

My hair care routine- For colored hair

Hello beauties!

I am back and today I have decided to share my hair care routine with you. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook or if you know me personally you would probably know that I have recently got my hair coloured and of course coloring is not the best thing you can do to your hair so I need to take extra care of my hair these days.
No I am not doing anything fancy or super expensive I am just using a few drugstore products which are working for me and which I am going to share with you today so let's get started:

When I got my hair colored the first thing I started using was Tresemme color vibrance protection shampoo along with the conditioner from the same range but at that time my hair were really dry and rough so I needed something extra and that's when I bought the Loreal Elvive color protect caring hair mask.

It was also featured in my April favorites. I have been using this for more than two months now and I really love this. I have already finished my second tub.
I don't know why but I like to use the products from the same range together so when I bought this mask I had to buy the shampoo too and I am glad that I did because this duo is doing a really good job. They have made my hair really soft, silky and smooth.
My tip is to keep the hair mask into your for a little longer than usual.

I still use my tressemme shampoo and conditioner because they give a feeling of newness to my hair color. Whenever I use these two products my hair colour becomes more vibrant so I use the loreal and tresemme products together.

Actually I am using three shampoos these days, I also use the Johnson's baby shampoo. I am someone who washes my hair everyday and since I have already put too many chemicals into my hair now I think I need to give them a break and I believe that baby shampoos contain lesser chemicals than any other shampoos so I use this baby shampoo on alternate days.

I also use a mixture of coconut and castor oil once or twice a week. I just massage it into my hair and leave it for 1-2 hours and then wash with any of my regular shampoos (you can leave it overnight if the greasiness does not bother you).

Also, I don't brush my hair very often I just do it once a day but when I do it I make sure that I do at least 100 strokes. I don't know if it's just a myth that brushing your hair 100 times make them shinier or stronger but it makes my hair look straighter and more playful (I love to play with my hair after brushing! you know what I mean) so I just do this.
And that's it… that's pretty much everything I am doing to my hair. Using all these products regualrly has really made a difference.

That's it for today… I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments which are your favourite hair care products?

Digital Detox

Hello beauties!

Today I am going to talk about a very serious issue that all human race is facing but we bloggers are particularly affected by it and it is over usage of internet and technology.

Image from google

Before I start I've a confession to make and it is that I am addicted to internet and all the social media apps. I check my phone as soon as I wake up and it's the last thing that I do before going to bed (actually it's worse than that I spend hours on my cellphone even after I get into bed). Using my cell phone and tablets all the time gave me a constant neck and backache and I was constantly troubled by eyestrain and that's when I realized it's the time for a digital detox. I have incorporated a few tricks into my life to keep myself away from excessive use of technology which I am going to share with you today. If you are someone like me this post is going to be really helpful for you so let's get started.

Limited mobile data packages:
The cell phone companies have introduced so many unlimited data packages at such amazing rates that they are irresistible but now I never subscribe to any of these offers. Yea we have access to wifi at most places now but still at least it keeps me away from using my phone when I am travelling. If I really need it I subscribe to packages which only give a few mb's.

Logging off from social media apps during the day:
I log out from all social media apps (FB,  IG,  Twitter,  snapchat,  pinterest) after every use so their notifications don't bother me constantly. Also being a very lazy person I am less likely to put in the extra effort of typing my username and password every 5 minutes just to scroll down my newsfeed so it really helps.

Turning off Facebook notifications and auto sync of emails:
Even when I haven't logged out from the FB I do not get notifications. I keep them turned off and just respond to everything when I check my FB (or other apps) once or twice a day.
Similarly,  I synchronize my emails to my phone only once a day.

Unsubscribing yourself from mailing lists:
Another thing I have done is I have organized my mailbox. Now I don't need to read and delete unwanted emails. It took me a whole day to unsubscribe from websites and blogs that do not interest me anymore but it has made my life easier. Seriously You should try decluttering your mail box it feels better than decluttering your wardrobe.

Keeping phone away while sleeping
I used to use my cell phone as alarm clock and every night I used to end up using it for hours before actually going to sleep so take my words never take your phone to bed with you.
The most important tip for digital detox is keeping your cell phone away while sleeping so the blinking of light or vibrations do not disturb your sleep and do not use the “I need it for morning alarm” excuse.  Buy a cute old fashioned alarm clock it will not only wake you up in the morning but will also look cute lying on your bedside table. I don't have an alarm clock yet but still I keep my phone away on full volume so I have to get up to put it on snooze. Sigh!

Reading real books:
I have this habit of reading before going to sleep. Earlier I used to read books on my cell phone and tablet but now I have decided to go back to the old fashioned way of reading the books in hard instead of soft copies. Yea they are not easy to carry around everywhere and I need to keep the lights of my room on till late night which means making mom angry for being awake till late but its worth it.

Turning off wifi routers:
The last thing I try to do is turning the wifi router off when I am not using it. It is difficult in my case as I have other people (my siblings) living in my home who need wifi more than oxygen but you can try this if you don't want to turn off the notifications of your social media apps and just want to stay away from internet for a few hours or so.

That's it for today
I'll be back soon till then take care and tell me in the comments how much time in a day do you give to these social networking apps?
